Applications Now Open for District Accountability Advisory Council

Westminster Public Schools (WPS) is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 District Accountability Advisory Council (DAAC). Parents, guardians, and community members who are passionate about education and eager to represent their schools are encouraged to apply.

The DAAC plays a vital role in strengthening the connection between schools and the community. Council members work closely with district leaders to discuss key issues, provide policy recommendations, and share important updates with their school communities. Members also gain valuable insight into WPS’s mission, operations, and strategic priorities - knowledge that empowers them to be effective advocates for students.

“Serving on the DAAC is an opportunity to make a real difference,” said Ryan McCoy, Chief of Advancement and Strategic Partnerships. “It’s a chance to contribute your voice, help shape policy, and ensure that every school in the district is represented.”

Applications are open now through August 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. The first meeting of the new term will be held on September 2, 2025. Space is limited, and each school is encouraged to have strong representation from both parents and community members.

Interested individuals can apply online using the DAAC Application.
