A NOTE FROM SUPERINTENDENT GOTTO | FEBRUARY 12

Dear Westminster Public Schools Community,

When we say we want to “Celebrate Excellence” in Westminster Public Schools, we know how to do it right.

I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to our incredible students, staff, and parents for making Saturday’s Celebrating Excellence event such a resounding success.  This special occasion is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment of our entire Westminster family.

See the story in this edition of What’s up WPS for a complete rundown of all the categories and the names of our winning entries and competitors.

To our students—your achievements inspire us all.  Your passion, perseverance, and pursuit of excellence continue to elevate our schools and make us proud.  Winning a trophy is secondary to the fact that you participated and gave it your very best.

To our staff—your tireless efforts in guiding, mentoring, and supporting our students do not go unnoticed.  Your dedication to fostering a culture of learning and achievement is truly remarkable.  It takes hours and hours of work, beginning at the local school level, to prepare students for the competition.  We could not do this event without you.

To our parents—your partnership and support make all the difference. Your encouragement and involvement play a vital role in shaping the success of our students and community.  As I watched the day unfold it was an incredible feeling to watch parents cheer for their children when they won and to console their children when they did not win.

Celebrating Excellence is more than an event—it reflects who we are as a district.  Thank you for coming together to recognize and honor the outstanding accomplishments within our community.

As we do every year, we will take a close look at what worked well and what we can do even better.  If you were at the event and have any thoughts or input, I want to hear from you.

I look forward to building on this success and continuing to celebrate the bright future ahead.

Warm regards,
